Founded back in 1989 by an American Robert Meyrson who was passionately committed to the cause of Toastmasters, the Club operates as one of the many branches of Toastmasters International. The latter is a world renowned California based international club whose goals are aimed at giving people opportunities to enhance their leadership and communication skills through delivering public speeches. Its long history dates back to October 22, 1924 when legendary Dr. Ralh Smedly established the first Toastmasters club in Santa Ana California which still keeps on thriving today.

Being a part of the Toastmasters movement, the Moscow Free Speakers Club offers these opportunities to everybody irrespective of sex, race, nationality and religion. Its philosophy is to provide a mutually supportive environment in which every one is motivated to hone his or her communication and leadership skills.

Fluency in English is not yet an obligation, but it is already a good tone for any educated person. This is an opportunity to maintain a conversation with a person from any corner of the world.
